The "Arancina Accarne" is a popular snack in Palermo that is filled with a traditional bolognese sauce made with 100% Scottish beef and peas, with a Heart of Mozzarella Fior di Latte. This arancina is known to be one of the best in Palermo. The snack was also enjoyed by Frederick II during his hunting expeditions.
This delectable dish features a creamy béchamel, cooked ham, and Fior di latte mozzarella at its core. It's a beloved and classic staple in Sicily, commonly referred to as "the arancina ri puviriddi" or "the arancina for poor people" due to its humble roots when meat was not readily available to everyone.
Filled with 'Nduja (Full-bodied, spicy, spreadable salami from Spilinga. Made with finely minced pork, flavoured with Calabrian Chilli and naturally smoked) and Caciocavallo cheese.
